What came first – the chicken or its advertising? Quick-service restaurant, Pollo Tropical, was already established in 120 locations across the U.S., Caribbean and Central America, but was struggling to send a consistent message to its wide variety of audiences. The company needed a campaign that was on brand, but could also hold a conversation across several locations and languages.

Recognizing the importance of a digital and social presence, Pollo Tropical engaged Conversation to create an integrated, multichannel campaign and experience that leveraged these channels to build awareness, create a better experience, and increase customer retention.

Luckily, creating an all-encompassing conversation is one of our specialties. We capitalized on our emerging media skills to develop online, mobile and social media communications that leveraged our targeted online promotions, in-store conversions, mobile communications, and loyalty program. The campaign spoke to customers of any language at all locations. As a result, Pollo Tropical broadened and re-energized its consumers, delivered an impactful experience, and increased customer retention.

Our work with Pollo led to a 35% conversion rate and an earth-shattering spike in sales. During the campaign, Pollo Tropical experienced the highest volume of sales in the company’s history, which was maintained even as the campaign ended.
